Being a volunteer is extremely rewarding, educational, exciting and fun. You can have a huge impact on the lives of the homeless dogs that enter our shelter every day. A wagging tail from a homeless dog will touch your heart and bring you back for more. It is a rewarding experience knowing that YOU can make a difference in the lives of these animals.
Our volunteers are invaluable. Because of them, dogs are walked, cared for, and can find their forever homes through adoption. To join us as a volunteer, please fill out our questionnaire or contact us at info@dogsforever.org. Please note that volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
Become a foster volunteer for dogs in need
Do you want to help animals but don’t have time to volunteer in a shelter ? We are looking for homes that are able to provide foster care for our dogs. We require a home visit from a Dogs Forever volunteer. You must be 21+ years old. Our dogs are in home pets and are not to be kept as an outside pet. If you currently have a pet, we ask that you have extra room in your home to keep the pets separated until they become acquainted. All personal pets should be up to date on vaccinations and also spayed/neutered. While fostering a dog from Dogs Forever, we ask that you do not foster another for another organization. If you are renting or leasing your home, we will contact your landlord to ensure their approval. Dogs Forever will cover all veterinary expenses and even food. If you would rather volunteer for tasks that do not directly involve dogs, that’s great too! We always need help with fundraising, special events and special projects. No task is too small!
