Our 2025 Dogs Forever Calendar Contest is coming!! Wednesday, November 1st at 8am through Wednesday, November 15th at 9pm (yes, the event says 7am.. good ol’ Facebook doesn’t let you have two week long events!).
–
One winner will get the coveted cover spot and 12 other winners will get the months. There will be a collage on the back with ALL the entries no matter what.
–
It’ll be ready for entries and voting at 8am SHARP on November 1st!! $10 donation to enter and votes are $1 each.
–
There will be some killer vote promotions to stockpile up some extra votes and even some entry promotions later on during the contest for those that miss entering early!!
–
Make sure you have it marked to get notifications from Dogs Forever when we make posts so you don’t miss out.

Dogs Forever’s canvas for canines: holiday paint night!

  • Date: WEDNESDAY, November 20th
  • Time: 5pm-6pm YAPPY HOUR, 6pm-8pm PAINT NIGHT
  • Location: The Olympic South Side Theater 1202 3rd ST SE. Go UP the stairs or take the elevator.

ALL AGES WELCOME!! Please don’t drop off your minor children by themselves, they need to be with an adult. We’re not babysitting. 🙂

$30 per painter. Sign up HERE.

The theater will have the bar open for you and you can bring a snack for yourself. Unless you’re there for Yappy Hour, you’ll be busy painting most the time! Bar will have drinks and NA options.

Our guest artist, Jodee, will walk us through our painting for the evening!! How adorable is this! Customize whatever you’d like on the front of your mug.

CANCELLATIONS: We will refund LESS PROCESSING FEES (Just your $30) 48 HRS PRIOR TO THE EVENT. This would be no later than MONDAY, NOVEMBER 18TH AT 5PM. It takes a LOT to get things all together for you and we need enough notice to prepare, especially since we’re all volunteers donating our time for you to have a blast. After this date/time if you’re unable to attend, please consider your $30 a donation to the shelter. The dogs say thank you in advance! Otherwise, you can find someone else to take your place and let us know their name.

 

Dogs Forever’s 13th annual holidog bazaar fundraiser

Our 2024 Dogs Forever Holidog Bazaar is coming!! Back at Geonetric again and we are so excited!! There is something for EVERYONE. Stop by and get your holiday shopping done early!

This is NOT a vendor event, rather all items have been sponsored or donated so all proceeds come directly back to the care of our sweet puppers! If you ARE a vendor, you are more than welcome to make up a full raffle basket that we’d be happy to accept and promote your business. Watch our Facebook Event page for all the goodies, HERE.

Christmas themed items, dog themed items, apparel, gifts, jewelry, bake sale, grab n’ go gifts, and of course – our infamous RAFFLE BASKETS!!!!! Feel great knowing all your purchases come directly back to the sweet dogs that we care for at our shelter. They said thank you in advance!
We’ll also have our Holidog Christmas mini photo sessions from 930-345pm during the event! These are prepaid and pre-scheduled photo mini’s, no walk ins.

Other upcoming events:

Secret Santa for a Shelter Dog!! Stocking pick up will be Saturday, December 7th at the shelter.

Ornaments with wish list items will be available for pick up off our Howl-a-Day Giving Tree at the shelter Saturday, December 7th.

All stocking wish lists and ornament items need to be purchased, unwrapped and to the shelter no later than Saturday, December 21st. Stay tuned to our Facebook page for more details!

Come meet our adoptable dogs, learn about volunteer opportunities and check out our selection of apparel! Our dogs can’t wait to meet you!  Visit us at 809 Rockford Road SW, Cedar Rapids. Two blue buildings behind the Cedar Rapids Kernels’ Stadium scoreboard. The left building is the mail office. Please park in our parking lot or on the sides of the street when you come to visit us.
